Two Taiwanese call center gang members arrested with 600,000 baht at Tesco Lotus ATM

The Department of Special Investigations announced the arrest of two call center gang members caught with a large quantity of cash at a Bangkok ATM.

 

The men had 600,000 baht in illegally acquired money they had withdrawn from ATMs in the Lat Prao area.

 

Arrested at an SCB ATM at Tesco Lotus in Bangkapi yesterday were 20 year old Chang Shih-Feng and Huang Wen-Jr., 23.

 

They were in possession of bank books and five SCB ATM cards.

 

Springnews said that they were part of a bigger gang preying on victims by posing as state officials at a call center.

 

Investigations continue.
