Does Samsung still sell notebooks in Thailand?

Featured Replies

Samsung has apparently moved out of Singapore and some other Asia countries as far as their laptops and notebooks are concerned.

Are you still able to find Samsung notebooks in Thailand ?

The latest Samsung Notebook 9 Pro looks pretty interesting.

i think they have pulled out the market in Thailand, i looked a while ago to replace my samsung i7 laptop, i could not find any Samsung, settled for a Asus.

Samsung stopped selling computers in Thailand and some other global regions/countries around 2 to 3 years ago.   Like below announcements (just for example) regarding pulling out of Europe and Malaysia.   There were other regions/countries also...below is just what google pulled up quickly for me.  I bought a Lenovo laptop around 3 years ago and stores like ITCity and BananaIT here in Thailand still sold/had displays for Samsung laptops....but around a year later they no longer sold Samsung laptops....it was like they never existed.

Strange site that laptop6.com website.  Seems to just reflect info it probably finds by just scanning any and all websites for ads of any date but does not say specifically who is selling them.

I'm sure you can still find Samsung laptops in little physical stores/online stores here in Thailand like the one at this link.    Possibly grey market laptops or surplus sold off by Samsung.   But I haven't seen a major Thai seller like ITCity, BananaIT, PowerBuy, etc., have Samsung laptops for several years.   Even the Samsung Thailand website does not list laptops anymore.

Below is another website with a 2014 article saying Samsung is pulling the plug on notebook sales in Europe and Southeast Asia (Thailand is part of SE Asia).

Samsung Malaysia, as with our European and Southeast Asian counterparts, has discontinued the sale of laptops in the country.

In this fast-moving consumer technology industry, we always endeavour to do our best to meet the growing demands of our users, and we look forward to introduce more innovative products that we have in the pipeline to showcase to our consumers.

I am pretty sure Samsung has pulled out of SE Asia.  I am not sure if Taiwan or HK - a little North Asia - still sells Samsung laptops.

I wish to purchase the latest Notebook 9 Pro, and I am still wondering if purchasing online from US is the only option.
