November 14, 20178 yr Posted on here about my company doing my non b and work permit from transit to non b & WP a couple of weeks ago. the accountant was asking for documents to be stamped by my my U.K. embassy, sounded like she didn’t know to much. british embassy doesn’t just stamp documents. i have copies of everything but the agent saying it needs to be stamped. i just met with him now and he showed the criteria for applying for non b from transit in Thailand: in the pic attached- is this really a requirement? How about a person with no degree ? Working as self taught professional like a programmer or something? i do sales to international owned companies based in Thailand, jewellery manufacturing/factories etc - you don’t need a degree what I do! You just need to know how to speak a couple of European languages and know the western cultures
November 14, 20178 yr It asks for evidence of education, not evidence of a degree. Any professional development that you have done that relates to your trade would suffice. Or possibly evidence of years of work experience in the same field.
November 14, 20178 yr It is certainly required. Many people have not been able get the visa at immigration because they could not meet that requirement and had to leave the country to get a non-b visa at an embassy or consulate.

November 14, 20178 yr Author will a letter from my previous employer/trainer/teacher be suffice? like an original saying "mr.................. attended xyz from here to here to blah blah"

Education could be a diploma for the highest level of education you have. Perhaps something like this from your previous employer." Education and job experience certification form" used to apply for a work permit would be accepted. https://www.doe.go.th/prd/assets/upload/files/alien_en/bc8afbeb7da6cb4a20b059dceec95d9e.pdf Has the company already applied for a work permit?
November 14, 20178 yr Author yeh, apparently you do it backwards if converting from transit to non B. Apply the permit first, then as soon as the non B is granted you go to sign the permit and job done. If you leave the country and re enter with non b am I right in saying this eradicates all of this documentation stuff? its a pain in the arse cos my job is so much easier going face to face which means leaving the office and obv if its not 100% kosher at the moment its a bit risky.

Actually it is the same to apply for a non-b visa at most nearby locations as far as the work permit application goes. You need a letter of approval for the work permit application (AKA WP3) to apply for the non-b visa. Vientiane's requirements are here on page 2.. http://vientiane.thaiembassy.org/upload/pdf/Visa/Non-B business.pdf You will see that the list is lot a shorter.
