VPN That appears to be in Philipines

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Forgive my spelling but I need a VPN that makes me look like I'm in various Filipinno Cities, and (I also need to learn how to spell Philipinno properly).

anyone got a suggestion ?

Thanks in advance

I think you will find most all VPN providers we see advertising a VPN connection for the Philippines that it will most likely be limited to "one" city in the Philippines...specifically Manila versus being able to pick various location around the P.I. like the OP mentioned.   Not uncommon for VPN city selection to be very limited for smaller and/or 3rd world nations....usually be limited to one or two major cities in that country...usually the capital city.

And the VPN provider may not have an actual "physical" server in some countries such as Phlippines; instead, they use a "virtual" server located in another country.   Now whether it's a physical or virtual server for a certain location/country you still get an IP address for that country which is ultimately what a person needs-. It's just a virtual server may give you slower speed because it's further away from the country you are trying to connected to...but in some cases it may help with speed....not ping time, but speed.

For example one of the most pricy and well known VPN providers, ExpressVPN, has a Manila server location, but it's actually a virtual server located in Singapore.  Not recommending ExpressVPN...just using them as an example.  Ditto for many other VPN providers as virtual servers are used quite a bit to provide VPN/IP address connection to numerous countries.
