Khao Din zoo is still open as usual

Bangkok’s only decades-old zoo, Khao Din or Suan Dusit zoo, still remains open to the public until there is a formal announcement about when exactly it will be closed down, according to the zoo’s public relations office.

The PR office said that it was flooded with hundreds of phone calls from members of the public asking whether the zoo was already closed or still open to visitors after it was reported that the zoo would move out to a new location in Pathum Thani province.

The board of the zoo may meet next week to consider when to close down the zoo, but, for the time being, it is still business as usual, said the PR office.
