It does try your patience sometimes to put up with either deliberate misinformation

( to benefit the taxi trade ?? ) or just poor communication /organisation...................... :o

This morning THREE young employees from the Tourist Authority who sit at

a desk at Hua Lamphong station told me emphatically that the Airport bus express

to Suvarnabhumi no longer goes from Hua Lamphong station ?

Luckily I wasn't travelling today - I was just making sure where it departs from.

They told me I needed to go back to Silom to catch it - adding a comment

that most people catch taxis !! I wonder who put them up to saying that ?!!

I said I didn't want to catch a taxi and could they please advise where in Silom

I should stand to catch the airport express bus ? They said I needed to ask

someone at Silom when I got back there.

Does anyone know from previous experience categorically where in Silom to catch

this thing ?

I got a list of bus stops from this forum somewhere.

Some of the major stops on the Silom line are;

Montien Hotel , Tawana Ramada hotel, Plaza Hotel, Lertsin Hospital, Narai Hotel, Sofitel Hotel, BTS Saladeng Station

Hope this helps

This list is INcomplete, and copied from the airportleaflets sine then the routes have been CHANGED

the nr 552 runs ON via Sukhumvit till ASOKE, turns left to serve Sirikitti exhib centre) and ends at klong toey garage=opposite the tescoLotus, in fact it has done so from the start. it is NO at all express, as it goes all along Sukhimvit= 1 endless jam. these BMTA citybuses leave from the BUSstation

the aipt expr routes run ONLY 1/hour, leave from TAXI==lower level at terminal and are even more clumsily routed for Sukhimvit.

If your with 2, a taxi will work out same price.
