I am about to obtain a 1 year multiple entry visa and want to know if anyone else has done this from Bangkok

The main questions are:

1. who did you use here in Bangkok???

2. how long did it take - are the "it will only take 15 minutes in our office" statements true??

3. where did you go to obatin the visa - I have been told I will have to leave Asia and go to Australia - is Singapore an option or Yangon???

I have about 40 days left on my 90 days and maybe in Singapore before that with work hence the question about Singapore and obtaining the visa at the embassy there.

Any information or ideas most welcome.

I surmise what you are talking about is a Thai company that is going to sponsor you for the visa. This is either an employer or they are inviting you for business trade reason. Our company has a department as well, from time to time, on a selective basis, does sponsor qualified foreigners to explore researching investment opportunities. We do this only after the possible applicant fills out a Confidential Prospective Profile on themselves, why they are researching and what type of business they are looking to possibly invest in.

If you go to Singapore or other Embassies in Asia, you will only get a 90 day visa. If you go to other Embassies/Consulates outside Asia, you are more likely to obtain a one year mufti entry visa.
