The best priced Internet leased line @ home

3BB, TRUE, DTAC or AIS ?

I love the concept of coupon Internet package that one can purchase from juristic office, but unfortunately my condo is run by some crooks and the Internet is often hit and miss.  As a result, I am forced to subscribe to a leased line from 3BB @ 650 baht per month.  If you are farang name, you pay per year.  Only Thai name can pay per month.

Until my condo management is toppled and the Internet system completely overhauled, I will need to seek the best leased line bargain in Pattaya.

How much are you paying for your leased line ?

The condo I reside at has two wireless choices by day or month.  Like your experience they are usually pretty slow and sometimes hit and miss.

Luckily TOT came and connected to the phone landlines.  I’m getting about 45 mbps download and about 10 mbps upload off a 5g wireless router connected to the landline.  Fast enough to upload huge files and watch Netflix without interruption.  690 baht plus I believe 7% VAT for 738.30 baht monthly.  Can be paid monthly or more.

Option, cheap and reliable.  AIS WiFi-Sim/Modem. From 450/mth. with steady from 4-5 mb/unlimited data down, have friends who use android box w/o any problems. Try first with your smart phone/tethering and sign up for a week.

3BB with 30/10 steady VDSL, but requires good wires/phone or good ones self-run and 590/mth / 1 yr. contract.Good luck. MS>

It's not a leased line. A leased line is 1000MB + and they cost upwards of 10,000B a month. It's regular 3BB consumer service.

As for payment. I pay 3BB monthly for my fiber optic 200/200. They always ask for a year upfront. If you challenge them they will offer you monthly billing.

I use Sinet, no problems. I never had to get repairs in 2 years. They do their maintenance early in the morning. I like. I pay 641.93 a month for 20/10

OP, I think you will find that the coupon internet access is often run by a 3rd party and the Condo office just sell the coupons, (usually the condo gets a commission or free internet for the office), The Condo block doesn't maintain the equipment, control the speed, number of users, number of routers, maybe to many users etc. A problem with that service would be addressed to the service provider, the name on the coupon.

A lot of the time you may be limited to what provider you can use in a Condo block as they may not have cables into the block, my block in Jomtien is TOT only as they are the only cables into the block.

As for the pricing and speed etc, they are probably all pretty similar, dependent on the local equipment and number of users etc. They are all priced the same.

So is mine, limited to TOT, generally not a bad service and I think it costs 660 pm.

Yes. Leased line by anyone is minimum 10k a month here and it won't be particaly fast. 20k and you will get decent speed. Tot, 3bb fiber is ok but the condo management won't let the line run up to your room so that or a leased line is out. 4g from Ais is sent through cell towers so it's slower and they charge a lot limiting to 10 gigs a month or so depending on the plan. Best option go to the next condo board meeting or make a motion to allow internet lines installed.

As stated above your could run a adsl linethrough your land phone line but it still a bit slow but I would do that option.

I don't see any 200/200, but there's a 200/100:

Have you done a lot of testing? How does it rate?

Looks like 650 baht per month is not a bad deal after all.

But it's not cost efficient to subscribe one line per unit in the same condo.  Next thing is to look for a contractor who works with the juristic office to come up with a speed closer to 10mbps, as opposed to the standard 4 mbps or less.

When I was in Bangkok I was lucky to live near the perimeters of the condo where TRUE had a wifi station installed above one of the lamp posts.  I could use my pre-paid SIM card for data to access the free TRUE wifi.
