Can anyone recommend a reliable, good quality dental clinic in Pattaya? I need denture/part denture and maybe crowns. So far I have been to three and received very different advice from each one.  Two of these were the dental clinics at the better known international hospitals in Pattaya but the prices are far more than I am prepared to pay, whether I can afford it or not. The third is the Dental Design Centre in Soi 10 off Second Road. It appears to be o.k. but a recommendation or two from anyone who has personal experience will be welcome. Alternatively there are many dental clinics in Pattaya/Jomtien and once again any personal experiences/recommendations will be welcome. Many thanks

refuse root canal treatment or crowns

dentists will try to sell you first ,

In many cases not needed .

In Bangkok or elsewhere if you get some time ,

Google a M smile dental clinic

quoted 42000 in a best knownhospital

Cost 1000 with a filling / 30 mn great job

Crowns around 8000 .

He's OK as long as it's nothing urgent. Personally, I don't want to wait 2 or 3 weeks to see a dentist.

If you want the best, you should wait a short time and see Dr Warìn

.

There are some real cowboy dentists in Pattaya so take care, plus the fact that hospital dentists are a total ripoff as I once experienced

I 2nd the recommendation. Usually have to book a few days ahead and they give options, implants vs bridges etc. Explain everything completely and prices are freely given, they even have a price sheet at the reception desk.

A short time is a couple of days, not 3 weeks as I had to wait to see him. Plus I have used the dentists at Bkk/Pattaya hospital and found their prices reasonable and the work excellent.

A nonsensical generalisation.

Granted that nothing in Pattaya was of interest to me. I travelled to Sri Racha to have my work done by an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon....in a hospital. Phyathai Sri Racha. For the same price that you pay for an ordinary dentist in Pattaya.

So please don't post such generalised opinions as fact.

You just went to the wrong place.

I know the lady dentist at esplanade mall in rachada bangkok charges about 6000 baht for a crown. if you want zirconium etc it costs more. root canal is not automatically needed before a crown. it depends on the specific situation although a bangkok dentist told me i would root canal prior to a crown but my vietnam dentist did not agree and explained why and the explanation made perfect sense. subsequently did that crown in vietnam and never a problem, still going strong.
