Why the team of commandos, was this guy the Thai equivalent of Rambo..

Maybe vaguely in appearance, yes. Otherwise Rambo would eat him for breakfast with rice.

Should have started a charity run before the police showed up.  Well, guess he can always do one for public service sans the gun.

Are you saying it's only Thai men that have these characteristics?

No. If you read my post again, and after you understood it, you will find that I said "many Thai men", not "only Thai men. There is a difference.

The 'Thai equivalent of Rambo' has a spare tire.  The dude is probably fit enough but nothing to write home about.

Regardless of his name, he is one sad individual. Arrogant, entitled, bully, wife beater, cheater, deserter, junkie - now there are more suitable names. Hardly a role model.

Disagree.

I think he's great.

Proper Rock'n'Roll. Rebellion. Anti establishment - been abroad and educated himself in the past - Jim Morrison, Janis, Jimi, The Clash/Pistols et al.

James Dean, Marlon.

What are you rebelling against kid?

Whatya got?

Pretty unique amongst the corporate, bland, safe Thai music and movie scene.

Well one thing his refusal to come out when asked led to is that this photo oportunity occured.  It now will be impossible to sweep under the counter with a few quick cups of tea.

They have to send the national police chief to arrest Mr Important? No one else can do it? Does that mean all his subordinates are incapable of arresting one man? Doesn't the national police chief have more important things to do than arrest people?

Sent from my BLL-L22 using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app

And miss a photo op like that? Hell no!

Wow! We should excuse him for acting like a prick then.

Headline should have been 'Police Chief seize the chance for a Photo Op'. <deleted> is a General doing arresting people- that's what his minions are for.

His dad's obviously a nobody.

I wonder if he said to the police

"Don't you know who I am and who my Dad is"?

He's already a jackass (apparently), so given the gun related charge involved, and possibility he's high on Yaba, they were right to go in heavy, secure the area, and see how it goes.

He looks very calm, almost amused, in the photos.  Probably just smoking weed.  Arresting stoners typically not a problem.  Even the regular BiB could have handled this.  Stand outside 7-11 and wait for him to show up for Mountain Dew, Doritos and Snickers bars.  LOL! :stoner:

"...possibility he's high on Yaba.."

"Probably just smoking weed".

You seem to know a lot about him, possibly, or maybe probably, or more likey, not at all.

You've cracked the case, got me dead to rights, bloody good work, Watson!

The back-and-forth between Sek and the cops was hilarious as they tried to cajole him into giving up.

Years ago, Loso was the hottest band in the country and Sek was a superstar. He's a good songwriter and had a great voice. "Jai Sang Ma" and "Om Pra Ma Pud Gaw Mai Chua" were anthems of the day. But success fed his demons and here we are.

A long time ago in the US and Europe etc., they decided that you couldn't be a celebrity and a criminal. The likes of the Krays and certain other US personalities (as far back as Al Capone) where the last of them quite a few years ago...high time they did that here.

Didn’t one of the krays and Capone die in gaol?

Maybe so....but the reason they ended up in jail was because they were perps, but at the time they were also celebs. That is no longer OK in the west and hasn't been for a while. Was just pointing out that maybe places such as here should consider the same thing. This Thai guy in the OP is exactly the sort of bad example to society that should be made a example of.

So ridicolous how the high ranked officers arrests hiso people. Couldn't a police constable have arrested him?
