Abandoned baby rescued on windy cold morning in Chachoengsao

By The Nation

A baby believed to be around seven days old was found abandoned on Saturday at a bus stop in Chachoengsao province on a chilly cold morning, as Thais celebrated National Children’s Day.

The Bang Pakong Police Station was alerted at 6am that a baby was found at a bus stop near the entrance to of Wat Pimpha on Bang Na-Trat Road in Tambon Homsil, Bang Pakong.

The baby was found wrapped in towel. The baby was found shivering in the cold winds and had been bitten by ants. Officials rushed the baby to the Bang Pakpong Hospital.

Oh, dear me... Chok dee little wonder - I hope you have a great life despite your miserable start.

Whoever did this should be thrown in a nest of ants until they're 'im leao'.

Two this week. <deleted> are Thais thinking, throwing away children.?

Having recently been holding my newborn nephew, I really don’t know how anyone can just leave a baby like that. Especially your own.

Don't mean to open up an overly sensitive topic... but... saw a statistic a few days ago that said that approximately 1,000 babies a day are aborted in Thailand.  Perhaps these abandoned babies are the lucky ones.  At least they have a chance.
