BANGKOK, 15 January 2018 (NNT) - The Department of Land Transport (DLT) is preparing to launch two new bus routes, in addition to reforming the existing lines to improve public transportation quality and connectivity.

DLT Director-General Sanit Promwong said the first new route will start from the Chakri Naruebodindra Medical Institute and end at Ramathibodi Hospital, with at least 48 trips per day at 13-25 baht. Its free trial run is scheduled for January 16th - 20th.

The second new route will start from Rajamangala University of Technology, Rattanakosin Salaya and end at Mo Chit BTS Station, with at least 48 trips per day at a 40 baht flat fee. The line is scheduled to open in February.

Sanit said both lines will serve to transport passengers to and from the suburbs of Bangkok and connect with other public transportation systems.
