27-year-old Irish woman falls to her death from balcony on Koh Samui

Featured Replies

Probably an accident , too much to drink and it's easy to fall over . People who drink too much should not rent at higher floors.

I had a few beers the other night maybe 7 or 8 small bottles of Tiger and had a glass of samsong coke back in the room with a girl that we did not finish, got up to pee sometime in the night not sure what happened but I vaguely remember bouncing of a wall or something like that when I did wake up the fan was not working no lights, it seems I knocked the holder where you put the key fob to activate the power clean off the wall managed to get it back on the wall and working and glued it back on the wall.

I have now moved to soi 3 in Jomtien a very big room for 8000 a month great for me it's a fan room as I don't like aircon but it's on the fifth floor (6th in USA). I am a bit wary of even going out drinking as these days I rarely drink at all and it seems my capacity has diminished with age and I can see myself stumbling about looking for the toilet and going over the balcony,it's a sobering thought for me.RIP the young lady.

Gee.  the online photos show the place as only having 3 stories tops.  Of course it is possible to die falling from lower heights than that.
