How to improve the water pressure?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

My new condo's water pressure is pretty low. Kitchen and toilet sink, I can live without a high pressure of water but I cannot stand the shower.

In my previous condo, I tried the new shower head but it did not solve the problem at all, since this new condo is mine and I can install whatever I want, can someone recommend me how to improve our shower's water pressure? I've heard that I could buy a water heater that has the pump tank in it. Does it work?

Yes - but unfortunately does not seem to be available in Thailand.

Have a earlier model for over 10 years and it still works.

Is this the model you are still using? Cool - I go on a business trip to KUL often, I will definitely get this one then :) thanks!

Ps- is it easy to install? Or should I call a installer/plumber?

Sorry for slow responce, been busy.

As I mentiond in my post mine was an earlier model but still Panasonic and still going strong.

No extra diffculty in fitting this type of hot water shower unit, the pump is contained within the shower unit and no extra fitting is required.

Just regular power cable 2.5sq. plus earth and water in and out.

Thanks!

Have you or any other used this pump to install in your house/condo? Looks like this pump will increase the entire water pressure including kitchen and toilets. If anyone used it before, can share the reviews? :) Thanks

That is a whole house pump, many threads on here about these pumps.

Not sure it's practical in a condo - also you will need a tank, should not connect this kind of pump directly to the mains.

Hi, my husband successfully bought a model you recommended while he was on a business trip to KUL :) It was back in stock. Now all I need to do is installing it in a new house :) Thanks so much for your recommendation!

Have a question here, have you installed it yourself or called a handy man?

Hi

Installs just like an ordinary hot water shower.

Depends how handy you or hubby are. You need to drill 4 holes in the wall to hang the unit and then just connect the flexible water pipes to the correct in and out places.

You will obviously also need an electric supply to power the unit.

If you have already have a non pump hot water shower unit you may be lucky and the same wall holes will fit.

Do remember to turn off the electic and water befor you start.

No real problem if you have some basic DIY tools including an electric drill.

Good luck and let's know how you get on.
