Ex-chairman of Kanchanburi Football Club killed in road accident

By The Nation

A former Kanchanaburi Football Club chairman was killed when his big bike crashed into the rear of a 10-wheel truck in Kanchanaburi province early on Saturday.

Police said Lieutenant Issaret Rassamilerkset, 29, died at the scene when his Ducati motorcycle crashed into the rear of a truck transporting chicken on Kanchanaburi-Saiyok Road in Tambon Wangdung of Muang district at 3.30am.

The truck driver, Jakkrit Thepngamthuam, 43, said he was driving normally when he heard a loud noise at the back. He thought one of the truck’s tyres had exploded but when he stopped and checked, he found the motorcycle had hit the back of his truck.

Police have yet to check footage of security cameras to confirm the truck driver’s statement.
