You identify an irony lost on the NRA crowd.  Some of the people who jealously defend their constitutional right to bare arms were threatening armed revolution against our constitutional government if the voted didn't turn out their way.  No doubt they will threaten the same if Trump is impeached.
I suppose 'baring' arms is better than 'baring' a$$es?

The problem is if you get rid of Trump you get a religious nutter for president.

So basically, you'd be trading a non-religious nutter for a very religious nutter....

That's a hard choice to make. But, Trump is so odious, it might actually be for the best.

"trump" doing Putins work. Enemy within. Please make it stop!

"Trump is helping to undermine US democracy. That's just what Russia wants

Washington (CNN)Wittingly or not, President Donald Trump spent the Presidents Day weekend doing the Kremlin's work."

Political scientists rank Trump last, Lincoln first in presidential greatness survey

I didn't need any survey to tell  me what I already know. The reality TV persona is barely even operating in a presidential capacity. Between golf, TV and tweeting, I doubt he has any time to spare for WH duties.

The political scientists are correct.  A trained monkey would have been a better President than Trump.  But rest assured, Trump's days are numbered....

[The details ― of Russian financing of Trump’s businesses, and of more campaign contacts ― are likely to be spelled out in further indictments, almost surely including members of Trump’s family, and in Mueller’s final report, which will look very much like a bill of impeachment.]

I must have missed something in the news, Jing... What the Amarosa thing about?

Omarosa is a former reality TV contestant on one or more of Trump's shows, who was hired by the White House to...well, no one seems to know.  She eventually was fired, apparently for being a royal pain in the *ss.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omarosa_Manigault

Rest assured, Trump hires the best people.

Yikes....

Considering the source, I'd be inclined to NOT believe almost anything she has to say.

But as regards to Pence, if I were a betting man, I'd probably bet she's accurately portraying his peculiarities....

"trump" is partly right about the laughing going on in Moscow. Sure, America is a laughingstock now. But who made it a laughingstock?

John Oliver began a new season of "Last Week Tonight" on Sunday (Monday morning Thailand time).  He addressed Trump's campaign claims of the world laughing at the US and brought it up to date.  As usual with John Oliver, he's hilarious and disturbingly accurate.  If you can find the show (Netflix or an Android box with Kodi, or so I heard) it's worth watching.

The Huffandpuffington Post is a strongly left biased organization so of course that would be their position!!!

Nice try. But an ultimate fail! The number one is a Republican and only two of the top seven are even Democrats.

Abraham Lincoln - Republican
George Washington - Federalist
Franklin D. Roosevelt - Democrat
Theodore Roosevelt - Republican
Thomas Jefferson - Democrat-Republican
Harry S. Truman - Democrat
Dwight Eisenhower - Republican

Even among his own party, Donald ranks in the bottom 5.

Trump did not fare well even when parsing the results by party and ideology. He ranked 40th out of 44 among Republicans and conservatives.

I prefer the way that MSN headlined it:

"Donald Trump ranked worst US president of all time by 200 top political scientists"

https://www.msn.com/en-nz/news/world/donald-trump-ranked-worst-us-president-of-all-time-by-200-top-political-scientists/ar-BBJlS9q?ocid=spartanntp

There's always a lot of recency bias in those surveys. Not arguing that Trump doesn't deserve his dead last ranking, but with the perspective of a few more decades passing you won't be seeing Clinton and especially not Obama in the top 20.

Perhaps you can provide one news source that you do not think is biased.  I anxiously await your wisdom on this matter.

Well Foxnews don't report much on what Trump says, so see no evil hear no evil! They must be not bias! lol

Code red for American democracy.

"trump" and Putin are winning and American democracy is losing.

Is it that serious?

Many of us think so.

You could see this coming a mile away but people just let it happen.

Americans that still care, read it and weep --

Quote

Why Thomas Friedman issued a 'code red' warning to America

...

"Our democracy is in serious danger," he wrote in the opening line. "President Trump is either totally compromised by the Russians or is a towering fool, or both, but either way he has shown himself unwilling or unable to defend America against a Russian campaign to divide and undermine our democracy."

There was something about his last paragraph, in particular, that struck a chord. "This is code red," he wrote. "The biggest threat to the integrity of our democracy today is in the Oval Office."

At least he's banning these 'bump stock' machine guns which is a step in the right direction and something no other president has had the balls to do.

If he brings in a law to ban a magazine from being able to hold more than six rounds you'll really be making headway.

He's talking about banning bump stocks.  It remains to be seen if it will be anything more than talk.  My guess is that it will not.

Let's wait and see if Trump actually delivers, especially without any poison pill compromises e.g. weakening legislation on gun silencers

If he does introduce a bill to ban bump stocks I'm sure that he will attach the 25 million dollars for his wall to it!  There will be no legislation introduced that doesn't include the wall, chain migration and the lottery attached to it!
