It's the Sodium in salt. Table salt is mostly sodium chloride, MSG stands for MonoSodium Glutamate. Fish sauce is also salty as hell.

And yet the sodium/potassium exchange keeps you alive.

5% of a population of 1.4 billion is 70,000,000 who have passports, twice the population of Canada. If that rises to 10% of the Chinese population with passports, you've got 140,000,000 tourists scrou

I dont think the percentage of passport holders will rise significantly. The reason is most of the Chinese people are financially poor.

I agree.

The economy has serious issues. Further the nation is turning inward. China is due for a big pause, especially if trade tarrifs and even soft sanctions are locked into place by US.

So...to sum up all 17 pages:-

There are more Chinese arriving in Thailand ????

No the numbers are down....where have you been hiding?

Chinese population is counted in billions....even if a tiny percent decide to travel abroad te numbers are staggering.

In a rapidly industrislised country that is growing both internal and external markets, then has to be an educated middle class and in the ling term this means money and tourists...... Its up to countries to tap into this huge market.

On the other hand, China is spending millions on educating people to deal with China in all forms of trade. In Thailand quite apart from the EEC related projects there is a massive push to train Thai students in Chinese both in Thailand and through educational exchanges.

The West is largely being left in the dust in this respect.

Vidies????  Its quite clear you are completely out if your depth here.

Do i need to point out figures are seasonally adjusted and reflect trends and changes on long and short term bases?

He he you are on the ball my friend. To quote your post;

personal observation is fact.

Quoted figues are often fake news. ????????

have a great day

I can attest there is not a single Chinese tourist in Pattaya according to my observation post on the Dark Side. Fact.

I think there might be something amiss with the observation methods, but can't really pinpoint what.

You're so wide of the mark to attempt a conversation with you would be pure pigeon chess.

You must be having a bad day sunshine. Have fun reading the facts instead of finding them out yourself. Your name precedes you Sir (full of hot air) lol

Not sure why, but a lot of mainland Chinese girls also seem to have really bad breath. Maybe something to do with dental care. Not at all like non Mainland Chinese.

I hear that a Chinese company are taking over the lease for the big plot of land between sois 5 and 6 between Beach Road and 2nd Road.

Chang own the land and currently it is used as a giant coach and car park and has locally owned restaurants at either end. All the restaurants have been given 2 months notice to clear off.

Apparently Chang will also be taking back the land where the Twin Palms Hotel presently sits.

Chang also own the Grand Sole and Imperial hotels in the area, both closed for some time for "renovation".

Site of a new Chinese owned casino complex?

Where will all the coaches go to park?

Where will all the small restaurants move to? Will they even survive?

All cleared out yesterday, shops and restaurants all closed. Some residual clearing up going on today and no cars or coaches parked up. Will be interesting to see what goes on/up at the site.
