I am considering coming to Pattaya one week a month. So I was wondering if any one knows of good places to rent on a weekly basis.

I only require clean, hot shower, good TV and  fridge and air con of course. Has to be no further than 3rd road away from beach. Would not be interested in one over a bar. The quieter the better for me.

Right now where I stay when I visit will not give a discount for weekly rentals so am looking for a place that will. I know I could beat the pavement to find a place but do not feel interested in doing that. If I have to do that I will stay where I am.

Thanks in advance for any and all advice

According to posts on other threads, it is illegal to rent for less than one month, maybe just condos I do not know, I do not know but many hotels may do a weekly rate.

I think the issue is to rent or let for less than one month the establishment needs to register as a hotel...

Book a hotel or guesthouse; condo rentals for less than a month are illegal and it's likely that the person doing the illegal rental will not report your address to Immigration, which is required by law.  Plus, condo residents are getting increasingly upset and mad about short-term renters using their home as a hotel.

Hey guys lets all get on the same page here ok.  Hotels can rent rooms for as long as a person wants to rent the room. I do not need BS ok.Please refrain from giving un needed and off topic advice.

Only trolls come to this post odd huh.

I was under the impression that I did not need to mention I was looking for a hotel. That it would be understood.Sorry. It never even entered my mind to rent other than at a hotel. Gee. Where else do people stay but hotels, when they travel?

airbnb is the kind of thing a guy can review without the help of others.

a budget was asked for but instead of being offered posters were berated for not looking hard enough for the OP.

airbnb has 300+ units available for weekly rental from  10 usd to 170 usd per night. If the 170 usd is discounted is it the one you want?

again a budget would really make it would make it easier for others to do your research for you.

perhaps that and civility

You did not mention a budget.  There are places for $10 a night to over $100.

Being a cheap guy I am looking simply for a good priced room. Right now I always stay at the Apex for 650 a night. Would like them to discount 500 a night for lone stays. I will consider quest house also.

OP, I get what you are trying to do but room rates can differ greatly for essentially the same room/facilities. A weekly discount in one hotel may be more than the combined daily rate in another. Its not like a standard room has a standard price in all hotels and a discount would be below that rate.

A weekly discount from 600 to 500, or another hotel for 500 a night with no weekly discount, probably next door to each other and the same standard of room.

You could maybe try some of the hotel booking sites and look for current promotions etc.

I have seen hotels offering monthly discounts, but not many offering weekly, as I suspect 1-2 weeks is a standard stay for most tourists.

I know what you are saying. I walk down 3rd road see signs advertising rooms with air,,wifi ,large screen tv etc for 500 baht but  do not care to walk the streets looking any more that's what I did when I was younger now cannot be bothered. Just wanted to limit the effort I had to put in. Lazy old man I am.

I get good service  where I stay I have been a customer for  over 25 years. But feel if I book 12 weeks or more a year at the same hotel they can discount for me. I will be there high season and low season.. 12 weeks is close to 3 months a year from one guy.

One poster mentioned bnb. I will search that and see what is there.

yes i can see how the 7 minute baht bus ride would be off putting.

Enjoy your 500 baht a night hotel.  I hope someone on the forum finds something up to your standards.

And you are welcome for the effort

"I am considering coming to Pattaya one week a month". Where are you travelling from, if in country then no visa problems but coming from another country you may  eventually end up with problems in so far as immigration is concerned due to the number of visit visas.

Being in business myself you would be surprised how many times I am asked for a discount because they will have a lot of work for me...

Better option is ask around and see if any hotel/guest house will if you a staying 1 week every month do every 6th stay free.

you can use FB and see many condos at a good price on weekly rental. dont care about the hotel laws etc. thats mostly Thai people who runs a business on a daily short time condo rentals. They dont care about the laws even they are the owner, why you care? When i have a friend visits Pattaya, i mostly forward them to rent a condo at cheaper or the same money as hotels but condos are much comfortably. I will not be bothered to be ripped off low quality hotels guesthouses etc

Rubbish. Hotels and guest house can rent as they wish and plenty offer weekly deals. Cosy beach road has nice places to rent by the week and there are plenty of places around Pratumnak and all over Pattaya.

Most guest houses offer weekly deals, I am sure you can get it down to 400 baht per night. With AC and standard room with a fridge. I suggest you use Google to search for deals and then pick up ypur phone and dial the number and ask them You dont even have to stand up from your chair.
