A video posted on Facebook from CCTV in Pak Chong showed a pillion passenger dragged under the wheels of a bike after her long cold weather coat got entangled in the chain and wheels.

The 13 year old was ripped from the back seat and dragged along the road for about five meters before the bike came to a halt.

She was riding with a male relative near Ban Nong Taku, Pak Chong, Nakorn Ratchasima.

Poster NarongIntharasorn said in comments that the female suffered an arm injury but was recovering.

Sanook said that the accident happened as the relatives were going along the road on Thursday. The coat was about knee length, they said.

So lucky they were going slow....,that and they were wearing helmets.

On a more serious note, lucky it happened away from cars and being next to houses so that others came to their aid.

Will they learn from this experience, I hope so, but doubt it, i.e. how much can a Koala bear

Good thing they don't wear helmets. Those straps could strangle them when they fall down.

Not much fear of that they never seem to fasten the straps!

I know it's not funny... but it did tickle me when even the dogs came running over for a nosey

Yeah, I thought the dogs did a better job of helping the woman than some of the humans just standing there.

At least one of the dogs ran off to ring an ambulance.

Now I am not as embarrased thinking the same thing.

Hope no one was injured severely.

And the injured has a speedy recovery.

I recall about 10 years ago where a woman, holding a baby on the back of the m/c, let the baby's blancket get caught in the chain. The baby lost its leg at the hip.

Frightens me when I see girls with long dresses or coats on the back of a bike.

If they were on a belt driven auto like a Vespa or Yamaha Filano, that could never happen.
