Anyone have some good destinations in this range worth cycling to?

 

I have it in my plans to see if Utapao will let me in with my bike. I love saving money on taxis if it's an option.

 

Ban Chang is also on my list,

Lots of nice army/navy beaches south of Pattaya, often just a checkpoint off Suk road, you leave passport/ID etc

Well, I found that from Pattaya beach the best rides are to go up the mountain between Pattaya and Jomtien, then cycle along the Jomtien beach road until it bends onto Sukhumvit, turn right and head to Sattahip. It's a nice enough ride and traffic isn't much of a problem, and you get a nice little side wind from the sea. The only negative, based on the last ride, was at Jomtien beach a bunch of very dark-skinned ladyboys stripped off on the beach. That I didn't need to see.
