Popular Post webfact Posted February 26, 2018 Popular Post Posted February 26, 2018 Foreigner furious that man who attacked him was "allowed to escape" Picture: Pattaya News A furious foreign national created merry hell at Pattaya police station in the early hours of Sunday morning after a man who attacked him fled while going to the toilet. He was also a foreigner. The pair - along with the victim's Thai girlfriend had had an altercation at a bar. The Thai girlfriend said that a fist fight had broken out between her boyfriend and another man. After that the other man went to get a knife and came back using the weapon to cause a wrist injury. Members of the public intervened and the three went to Pattaya police station to sort it out. But while the knife man was being questioned in the interview room he was allowed to go to the toilet and then fled the station. Officers tried to locate him but failed. Investigating officer Thammanchat Sitthisat just made a report enraging the victim of the knife crime. No one was named and no locations were given in the Pattaya News story. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2018-02-26 2 1

Get Real Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 If they are both tourists, no need to get extremely angry. Then it will be easy to catch him when he tries to leave the country. Also rasily can find out what hotel he stay at, or who he was travelling with that also might be the name of the room. If they will do their job, it will say. I guess we all want them to start do that, don´t we?

Sure, they can easily get him, if they want to! (I presume that they already have his name, nationality and passport number.) However, Pattaya police is so busy taking other crime victims to naughty Soi Pattayaland bars as tour guides (I'm NOT making this up!!), they probably do not have time to go to his hotel to find him... 3

Absolutely. People who keep coming out with those backward and cowardly phrases to those who speak out, and stand up in the face of indifferent ineptitude, including such tiresome gems as: 'remember you are a guest here', 'if you don't like it, leave', and 'close the door on the way out', all deserve a sharp cuff around the ear. 5 1

Yes, a cuff around the ear. Then quickly run to the police when returns your cuff with a stiff bashing. Sounds like you offer good advice. 1
Popular Post yellowboat Posted February 26, 2018 Popular Post Posted February 26, 2018 Involving the police in Thailand has never crossed my mind. They are to be avoided when possible. They just make any problem that much worse. 4 1

Popular Post Time Traveller Posted February 26, 2018 Popular Post Posted February 26, 2018 His mistake was thinking the police are there to help or "protect" people. It is a complete waste of time reporting anything to them, unless required by (parasitical) government departments. 3

farcanell Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 Whilst accepting that it’s kind of on the funny side, I would have thought that after the last foreigner on foreigner incident in patts, (aussi being killed) that this would have been more than enough incentive to at least try and do their job. what a continued embarrassment these boys are for thailand.... it’s just as well that they are above the law
