PHUKET: Two men were injured in a shootout in central Phuket yesterday (Feb 25) after tempers flared over allowing access across an 800-rai plot of land.

Just a normal Thailand mediation session !

Not surprised- there's an illegal casino (allegedly!) operating in that area and they don't like intruders.

I and others have been chased out of there in the past. When I asked a senior official who is a friend why nothing could be done about it he said 'too powerful'.

My advice is steer clear of this area.

800 rai plot of land? In Phuket? Yeah right.

Land paperwork please...
