Hiding AV cables

Featured Replies

Does anyone have any interesting (home made) solutions to mount a TV on the wall?

I was looking at solutions, it seems that most YouTube solutions expect you to have a cavity wall. Like most Thai houses mine has concrete render walls.

I will chase out the wall and run power a conduit, and a vertical conduit to the AV receiver and true box, how about the break out boxes and grommets, I am having trouble locating anything like this in Thailand.

When I was first asked to mount a Large Screen Panel TV to a wall, I removed the original bottom base and used those mounting holes to support a DIY shelf for the Set Top Boxes right below the set, and use a normal wall plate to secure it to the wall.

The family subsequently added a 7.1 Surround Sound and Internet box.

So I thought of adding a 'floating shelf' (similar to a box-beam shelf), but then they started started carting *everything* outside for the family karaoke parties ...and I gave up on having nice things with hidden wiring.

But, yea, hiding the power bricks and allowing for box cable connections can be a pain.

Of course the 'other' option is to fur out the wall (build a false wall to hide everything).
