PHUKET: The Region 8 Court of Appeal on Wednesday dismissed another land right case filed against the Phuket sea gypsies in Rawai, upholding their right to occupy land in sea gypsy village at the southern end of Phuket.

 

The verdict was handed down in the land claim by plaintiff Boonsri Tantiwattanawanlop against sea gypsies Aeaw Hardsaithong, Woranan Hadsaithong, Bancha Hadsaithong and Niran Hyangpan. On Jan 31 last year the Phuket Provincial Court ruled in favour of four Rawai sea gypsies, upholding their rights to live in the sea gypsy village. 


The plaintiff later appealed to the Region 8 Court of Appeal.

Jeez. Glad they won again but its never ending. This greedy rich thai family will keep appealing til the sea gypsies have to sell up to pay legal fees
