Trump Starts Global Tariff Wall, Thailand Hit with 36% Tax
Look behind the mirror and one easily sees that this is not about relative tariffs. It's more about what concessions USA can derive from each country. These deals will be done on a one by one basis and could include so much more than restrictions on the importation of goods. So ask yourself what does USA want from Thailand? I have no idea but it could be an airforce base or it could be delinking from China in some key way. It could also be allowing restriction free importation of pork. My feeling is that Vietnam will be one of the first to do a "deal". At 47% tariff and 40% of its export market being to USA, Vietnam cannot withstand the pain for long. The unknown is of course China. Will they do a "deal." If so one doesn't have to be too smart to understand what Uncle Sam will be asking for. Of course China will blink last hoping that US consumers raise merry hell when they see all those Home Depot prices going up. Welcome to the world of chaos. It's not pretty -

Who's still thinking of buying a high rise condo after the earthquake?
8 or 9 years ago there were many post on here showing brand new condos built with newspapers stuck in between the window and the window frames on the 10th and 12th floor. Just need to open your eyes it's all around on the media -

Tea
Empty teabags, with a drawstring. Put 2 tsp of loose tea inside the bag and pull the drawstring = 1 teabag. I found them on Lazada, 19 baht for 100. Better than Tetley or Typhoo? About the same colour, with a slightly different taste. I've found it very drinkable -

Question About 500K THB Requirement for DTV Visa
Hello everyone, I have a question regarding the financial requirement for the DTV visa. My funds are currently spread across multiple bank accounts outside of Thailand. I already have a Krungsri account that I opened years ago when I was on an ED visa. Would it be acceptable to transfer 500,000 THB to my Thai bank account while applying, in order to meet the financial requirement? Or do they allow proof of funds from overseas accounts instead? Has anyone gone through this process successfully? Thanks in advance for your insights! -
