BANGKOK, 13th March 2018 (NNT) – The Deputy Prime Minister for Security Affairs has confirmed a general election will take place according to the nation’s development Road Map but denied any knowledge of a political party backing the current prime minister to continue in politics.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Gen Prawit Wongsuwan denied knowing of the Palang Pracharat Party's alleged moves to invite Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-ocha to become a party adviser.

On calls for the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) to relinquish its role in the lead up to the general election, Gen Prawit said that the Road Map mandates that the body remain in place, adding nonetheless that the group can continue to make such calls as long as it stays without the bounds of the law.

Election Commission (EC) Chairman, Supachai Somcharoen meanwhile addressed the matter of some political parties wishing to name themselves according to government policy, saying that there are no restrictions on such names, only against names that clearly show opposition to the institution of the monarchy or the administration. He responded to speculation that Palang Pracharat will invite Gen Prayut to serve as an adviser, by saying he would have to review the legality of such a move.

He indicated that three pending political parties have requested the NCPO allow them to engage in political activity, explaining the matter is up to the council.

He must be the only one that doesn't know most the political parties that registered are in favour of the junta and its boss ! no surprise there

Aren't the two weeks over, to come up with a cheap lie explanation about his watch(es)?
