The incident happened on 2 April when the toddler was left to play unattended with his brother at their home in Udon Thani. CCTV footage from their house shows the boy opening the drawers one by by. As he then pulls at one of the middle drawers the whole unit comes crashing to floor, knocking the boy off his feet. Incredibly, the boy manages to just escape being crushed, with only the corner of the drawers appearing to clip the toddler as he scurries away. Dmaxdan Posted April 5, 2018 Share Posted April 5, 2018 I can't be 100% sure but those drawers look like they contain toys, which is a pretty dumb place to store anything related to young children especially if they know what's there. High balance point, small angle is enough to topple it. In the US you could probably make a million dollar lawsuit from that if the boy was hurt IKEA had a case where a child was hit by a falling chest of drawers. IKEA drawers like these have killed several toddlers recently. IKEA now suggest attaching the drawers to the wall.
