engine balance shop

Featured Replies

Hello

Im trying to find a engine shop that can balance my engine rotating assembly.

I have bought some rods and pistons from a American company and in need of balancing the Crank with the new connecting rods/pistons.

Good if you say where you are.

I would of thought the crank will be already balanced if OME, just renew the bearings if your carrying out rods and pistons renewal.

What is the engine...Is it internally or externally balanced from factory...?

Im in Hua Hin, a shop in Bangkok would be fine. The pistons and rods are substantially lighter than OEM, hence why I would get it balanced.

Its internally balanced, but I am ok with externally doing just the crank and rods/slugs.

basically id like to find a shop that does numerous machining too, valve work, cylinder honing.

If it is internally balanced then the exterior stuff will be balanced at zero..Stay with that...

Bangkok will have many places that have motor engineers as for finding go google search and go the places to check em out.

If I was looking, I would bring a Thai speaker to Drag Avenue.

Find the most heavily modified car/truck and ask them.

If they trust the shop to build their race motors, you should be good to go.

Also give you entrance to many other services i.e ECU tuning, aftermarket parts, chassis dyno, ...

Thanks gents

id like to get to the track soon and yes its good for finding the right companies.

I had HKS in my favorites already,, NRB shop looks like it would be worth checking out.

As for the ECM and dyno, I do my own tuning and have a fairly local dyno to play on.

for a shop in BKK for high end rebuilds, engine balancing etc try Mactec

Mac, the owner speaks good English and I have been in his shop, big professional with many high end drag cars, racing cars and supercars.
