Repairs will not have any meaning as long as the board walks in Thailand are used to support weights they are not calculated for. Board walks are not designed as a motorcyle lane. Board walks are not designed to support the weight and the dimensions of the many stall installed on them. Hire an independant inspection team to control that board walks are not used for motorbikes, illegal parking space or stalls. Allow the inspection team to fine the perpetrators and bring them to justice. The fines will serve to pay the inspection team (ZERO COST) and the board walks will stay much longer in a good state. -

Have not had implants done by them but have been using them since 2006: The Grace Dental Clinic. http://www.gracedentalclinic.com/ They were recommended to me first by an American couple who came to Thailand three months in each year, partly for medical and dental treatments. Then in 2006 they were recommended by the Pakua Clinic at Tao Garden (near Doi Sakhet), who suggested I go there for removal of my older amalgam fillings (since several years before I had insisted that all new fillings be non-amalgam). -

I'm not sure of the point you are making in this anecdote.. For 20 years I was getting vehicles taxed and tested, just as most Thai vehicle owners do. The standard of testing however is really I consistent. I think many expats can spent years in Thailand without fully understanding the part that graft nepotism and corruption play in all of Thai society. As soon as they start comparing it to their home country or anywhere else, you know they've got it wrong. Another point is the compared to countries like the UK, vehicles last a lot longer, simply due to the fact of the climate and cost of labour. -

I meant as an excuse. In any case the art of good driving lies in anticipation. See it coming (and you usually can) and you can adjust direction, speed whatever. It's called defensive driving. Also, constantly check 50-100m up the road, check mirrors all the time, check your indicators aren't on when you're not manoeuvring. Look for hazards, roadworks, road furniture, stationary unlit vehicles at night. -
