If you watch the Thai soaps there are many scenes showing a Thai couple argue and if the female pushes it to far, the guy lifts his hand. They don't show the guy hitting out but the implication is there.

I know it happens, but luckily I do not know anyone who does that.

when asked if not happy with the minor assault charge laid tell us and we will lay more I can only presume the evidence supports more serious charges. The delay might be because some prominent son needs time to plan an overseas excursion and spend time away while the moths deal to the file at interpol until the statute of limitations renders the case closed because of length of time.

At the very least, the attacker should have to reimburse the victim for all out of pocket costs and a pain and suffering settlement too.  Nobody wins when you have these situations happen.

Who took the photo in police station?  

Wouldn't there be a police report? 

Did police already have the CCTV ?& Dr report?

Wouldn't there be a trial date?  

This type of case seems easy to convict and I think the World should have interest in the punishment.  

I think I will forward this article to the Twitter #metoo  movement.   Let this case get to the attention of THAT.

A long, long time ago, I was volunteering at a school (Work Permit of course) and the laser pointer I was using on the White Board went on the blink. So I picked up what I gathered was a Bamboo pointing stick and the kids, no joke started to bail under the desks. 
 

I didn't do that again. I remember 30 years ago being terrified of my Chinese teacher and she was on about 4ft 5 and 40kgs. I am a big guy; well over 6ft tall and was at that time 107kg. I can only imagine what the kids thought. 

As for road rage, I think most of us farangs are not as squeaky clean and moralistic perfect when it comes to it. I have a pretty cool head but sometimes what the drivers do to me here on a daily basis (as try in kill me), does sometimes make the 'Fuzzy' word come out to play. 

Tonight in light rain, I got boxed in a corner lane and out of a Soi comes a Toyota Hilux and like always, its nose came way out of the Soi causing the car in front to miss by centimeters, and I locked up my PCX and I came to a stop about a foot from it. The bike behind me missed me and just stopped in time. The magic 'Fuzzy' word did pop out of my mouth, and I was shrugging my shoulders in a 'what the hell' matter; you almost killed us both. The Thai on the other bike had his helmet off and was also not a happy camper The car itself, you know the type; brand new, shiny black, with glazed pitch black windows that would make the 'Don' himself proud, just speed off.

Now I gather this happens hundreds of times a day and most likely a few people die like this each day here. Most of us will have had this happen to you, you know just stick the pointy end out at you from a Soi or Service Station because I am in a 'car' and I can do so. 

 

As said, I think both sides (farang and Thai) or in fact, anyone is not immune from this. Still, we don't go out of our way to beat someone like the chap in this article did (and the book should be thrown at him), but in Australia, Road Rage is a major problem. People weekly get hurt from road rage in Australia, so it is just not isolated to Thailand or anywhere else in the world.
