Hormone Replacement Tablets

Featured Replies

Hi

I am moving to Chiang Mai in the next few months. In the UK I am prescribed Hormone Replacement Tablets by my GP. Where in Chiang Mai would I be able to obtain them?

bring with you some tablets in an original packaging as well as a copy of your prescription and possibly a record of your tests to thailand.

you can walk in to any hospital or clinic to see a local practitioner who should give you a new prescription.

Can buy over the counter.

If you are taking synthetic estrogen + a progestin (all of which are synthetic) will probably be able to find a generic equivalent to what you currently take without difficulty.

If on the other hand you are taking "bioidentical" hormones, e.g. human (as opposed to horse) estrogen and actual progesterone, then will need to search a bit as the advantages of replacing hormone with themselves as opposed to synthetic brews hasn't made it past the pharmaceutical detail folk to the public yet in Thailand. There is a gel form of estradiol available and also a micronized progesterone in capsule form (utragestan), both from France, but generally found only in pharmacies were foreigners often come.
