Well, that's hardly a new trick. But Thaksin didn't have a law that made it illegal for other people to campaign...slight difference. Not that he needed it.

Whilst Prayut is campaigning and spending public money everyone else is shackled, gagged and threatened with arrest if they campaign.  Definately a one sided race and not fair or very democratic.

Been around before Thaksin but Prayuth has taken campaigning to a new low.  Buying votes whilst shackling,  gagging and threatening the opposition with prison if they campaign.  Thaksin definately wasn't that low or ruthless 

I have posted frequently about the unwelcome but sadly unquestionable support that the military government still has among the Bangkok middle class.It's true that this has decreased in the last year but I believe will morph eventually for support  of Prayuth as PM (in whatever form that might be).

 

For a decent analysis of the motivation of this myopic middle class here's an article by an ex ambassador about its moral and intellectual bankruptcy.

Yes he was. Just not as effective at particular aspect. But he tried. 

 

Didn't have Article 44 or the military backing him.

Insignificantly noted. Doesn’t change a bit on what many know that the middle class has lost its moral compass long time ago and easy deceived by fake stability and phony promises by the military. 

I see the former Malaysia leader has been blacklisted from leaving the country. They wanna investigate him for his part in a corruption cover up. 

 

Come on, Thailand. Push for real elections and oust these horrible lot. I really hope the Malaysian elections can be the catalyst for something good here.

What an incredibly inane comment.He is so fixated by Thaksin that anybody even tangentially associated is “biased”.

If he had been able to demonstrate why the article in his opinion was incorrect that might have been a useful contribution.

But that of course is expecting too much.
