Where to see Houston vs Golden State basketball

Probably the best basketball playoff series this year starts on Monday (US time). Where will I be able to see the series in the lower Sukumvit area?

Houston had the best record this year and looks like they could topple the Warriors. The Rockets team was put together specifically to defeat the awesome Warriors.

This is an emergency! IMHO

Most of the playoffs are on the True Vision so you can watch it at home.  NBA (channel 674) have had some and channel 666 True Sport HD has had some. If you want to go out i expect Sportsman on Soi 13 is probably your best bet.

obviously you have NOT been watching.....cause hardly any of the playoff games were on True BS.  About a week later they would show a tape of one or two.   I am pissed off but probably true's price has gone up for the games as the NBA is trying to get people to buy packages .  BUT,  there is a possibility that the first game  GS and Houston will be on 8am tues morn

I believe every one if the boston series was on. Thats the main one i have been watching as i can see some before going to work. The WC games start to late. I am sure i saw a couple of the GS pelicans games and definately a couple of cleveland raptors series.

beg to differ... i have platinum package and do not work.  therefore i have plenty of time to check the game times and look for the "live' coverage.  Only  a very few !!   jing jing   you were watching repeats, and not same day repeats either.   Anyway, let's hope for better coverage as playoffs continue

If you're an American with access to a U.S. IP address, you can open a monthly subscription (cancel any time) to the Sling TV online cable TV streaming service. Comes with a 7 day free trial and can be accessed via the Chrome web browser, on Android and IOS devices and virtually all streaming hardware devices.

It looks like the entire Rockets Warriors series is going to be on TNT network. Thus Sling's $20 per month Orange package gives you access to the live streams of TNT and ESPN for NBA Playoffs purposes, along with a couple dozen other cable channels. And, if you want to pony up an additional $5, you'll get access to Sling's cloud DVR that should allow you to record the games online for later/time shifted viewing if desired.

Similarly, it looks like all of the Eastern Conference Finals Cavs Celtics games, except the very first one, are going to be on ESPN, which also is available via that Sling package. ABC appears to have the first game, and ABC is not part of the $20 Sling package, and I don't know whether the ESPN app will pick up coverage of that game or not.

slept through that one....but if live means will have replay today.  I don't mind a replay if its the same day.

Let's hope the games keep coming ( on True ).   Its about the only thing to watch besides 4 year old reruns of  masterchef or amer ninja warrior  !!

Just set up an acct on NBA.com and watch any game live for about $ 2 ea. I run a HDMI cable from Laptop to Big Screen TV and watch in HD.  You can also watch it delayed if no one tells you the score and who won.  Tommorows Tip off 8am.  I will be up and watching over breakfast.  Go DUBS.

FWIIW, a bonus is you dont have to sit through US Erectile Dysfunction commercials or any other Pharmaceutical ad.

Can you post a link for where you're doing that. Because when I go to the NBA.com website with a U.S. IP address, it's saying that their League Pass video is not available, and I don't see any links for full game on demand video via the official NBA site.

Ahh... the problem is whether one uses a U.S. IP address or a Thai IP address when accessing the NBA website.

With a U.S. IP address, you get this:

With a Thai IP address, you get this:

I don't see anything about buying access to single games. But I do see the above very reasonable League Pass prices for the remaining playoffs and finals -- if you're accessing with a Thai IP.

In this instance, using a US VPN or similar tech is a disadvantage, not a help.

My guess is, for people presumed to be in the U.S., they don't want to sell digital access at the end of the season that would take eyeballs away from the big money TV network broadcasts.

But since international audiences don't typically have access to those U.S. network broadcasts, I'm guessing the NBA and the networks figure there's no harm in raking in some added cash from the foreign folks, since they likely won't be watching TNT or ESPN anyway.

This is all I get on that page, which is nothing:

Hmmm.  Try NBA.com. look for the game on left.  click on watch ans it will send you to the link to set up an account.  I have same set up for NFL. but I pay for entire season.

Here is what the page opens up as on mine

WATCH ANY TIME, ON ANY DEVICE

With NBA League Pass, all you have to do is visit watch.nba.com or download the NBA App, sign in to your account, pick a game and start watching.

Also to note. I do not use a US IP address or a VPN.  I pay for each game and it gets billed to my credit card.

And there's the rub... See my updated/edited post above. Thanks for the info!

So by using a US IP you can't get league pass?

If So,  that's seems backasswards.

Right now, as a U.S. located person, no, you can't buy an NBA League Pass AFAICT.

Re backiasswards, yep, it might seem that way. But follow the explanation/rationale I gave above as to why.

Earlier during the pre and earlier in the regular season, of course, you can buy an NBA League Pass as a U.S. person / someone with a U.S. IP address. But apparently, the NBA cuts off sales of that product at some point prior to now, again, probably to protect the interests of their U.S. broadcast partners TNT and ESPN.

There have long been two different versions of  NBA League Passes -- one for U.S. audiences, and the other for international audiences. It had been awhile since I'd had any reason to delve into the subject. But people basically don't know that, because you only see info for your particular geography. And the two different kinds of League Passes are not always the same.

Note that even for people who previously bought the full season version of the U.S. NBA League Pass, they will NOT get live, real time access to any of the Playoff games or Finals -- only replays, again to protect ESPN and TNT. But if you're outside the U.S. and buying a League Pass via the international channel, then you DO get live real time access to the Playoffs and Finals -- because ESPN and TNT basically don't care about you, because you don't figure into their U.S. ratings.

If you go into the NBA website with a U.S. IP,  you get directed to one set of info. If you go in via an international, non-U.S. IP,  you get an entirely different set of info relating to League Pass, as per the two different images I posted above.

Thanks for the response.  Ratings and money is always the driver that's for certain.

I really never paid much attention.  I just set up the acct and pay by the game I wanted to watch.  64bht. The games are live but about 20seconds behind real time U.S.

Anyway Go DUBS.  Going to be a great series

  • 2 weeks later...

Whoops! How 'bout them Rockets? I love GS (unselfish, smart) and I think Steve Kerr is a great coach but time to see a different ending. Being a Lakers fan I don't like that the Celtics look like the team of the future. Great players and great coach. But I always thought that Danny Ainge was a whiner during his playing days. He has done a great job of building the team while the Lakers were futtsing around. The Lakers missed on picking up the great Donovan Mitchell. I would definitely have taken him over Ball. Could be a franchise player.

I have seen 2 of GS vs Houston on True sports. I am moving around and staying in hotels at the moment. Thanks for the input.
