I have to take Atorvastatin 10mg./day. Lipitor is expensive. What's the cheapest generic in Thailand? Thanks.

Try 'medisafe'  on 'LINE'...they will give you a price for any medicine you require.

They deliver to me free of charge and C.O.D.

Chlovas comes only in 40 mg, ans is the only locally made brand.

Atorvastatin Sandoz, Lipitor and Xarater all come in 10mg but are much  more expensive as they are imports

The Chlovas is scored but only in half so it will be difficult/impossible to get 10 mg exact dose.

Probably the most economical approach with accurate dosage would be Xarater.

It's an old post but Chlovas now come in 20 mg. I recently started on it. My LDL halved after about 6 weeks (based on another blood test at another hospital). I get it at the hospital where my doc is, but I don't pay for it as I'm under the civil servant medical benefit scheme.

Atorvastatin is very cheap in Cambodia if you ever go there.  30x10mg for $3 US (110b).  I have also heard of guys buying it online from India.

Besdies Chlovas, there are also some newer Thai brands:

  • Tovastin
  • Atorvin
  • Lipostat

I bought 300 tabs (3 boxes of 100 tabs) Tovastin 40 mg a year ago for 3,300 baht. So 30 tabs = 330.

I don't know re prices of the others mentioned.
