TM8

Featured Replies

I have a retirement visa and I am planning to visit Malaysia for a week in August. When do I need to complete my TM8 re-entry application and do I do this at the immigration office in Jomtien or at the airport when I return.

You can do it at Jomtien immigration or at either airport in Bangkok on departure from the country 24 hours a day.

You cannot get one on entry to the country.

Thanks. How long before can I apply at Jomtien and do I need to know my departure and return dates

You can apply for the reentry permit as soon as your retirement extension is approved, with or without a definite traveling plan. No one cares what departure and returning dates you put on TM8. You can leave and re enter any day as long as you have the permit.

You can apply anytime, and you don’t need to know departure/return dates.

@lelapin - and don't forget to leg it to Jomtien immediately after your return with a brand new spanking completed TM30!
