Travelling to Laos in a couple of weeks. I think I have the entry / visa part sussed. Getting US $ to pay for my entry into Laos.

 

Im on an OA visa so I will need to get stamped out with a re entry permit. Is there a fee to get the re entry permit....

or a fee to re enter Thailand?

1,000 THB for a single-(re)entry permit. If you are flying to Laos from BKK or DMK you can obtain one at the airport - otherwise you will need to apply at your local immigration office with a completed TM8 form plus requisite fee.

If you still have a valid OA visa from a embassy or consulate you do not need a re-entry permit. You will get a new one year entry when you enter the country.

If your OA visa has expired you will need a re-entry permit to keep your current entry valid when your enter the country.

You have to get the re-entry permit before leaving the country.

There is not fee to enter the country when you use a re-entry permit.

Im on a retirement extension so yes will need a re entry permit. Thanks all
