This could be the last time...

You’ll have to search the Yourube song yourself; I may not have much time. I’m in one of the pubs across the road, it’s getting close to closing time, and the band has asked if anyone has any last requests.

I’m trying to look stoic, but I think I’ll take the opportunity of the Last Orders Bell to save my skin and make a bolt for the door...

If you're making a bolt for the door I recommend this style.

A bolt for the door is fine, but you wouldn’t want to leave with a glass undrained

I wonder if the Stones; currently touring again; use any snail related products to save their skin. The old Grecian 2000 certainly gets a runout.

Wasn't that a song by "foreigner"?

Guess I am 13 hours too late.

Edit. I was thinking of the first time.

I certainly remember sitting in a few different pubs when the last song was either  "Danny Boy" or "The Sash" ....It became important to remember the words of both....

believe I woulda said  that Time is on my side...

one of the numbers in our garage band in 1964...tutsi on bass...

I think the bouncer does joinery in his spare time.  He seems very proud of his work.

When they asked for last requests, I begged "Please Release Me!", he showed me the door, and I showed him a clean pair of heels.

Re boucers skill set..., the tongue in groove flooring kind ? or flat as a board and easy to nail ?

I was told that Danny Boy originally came from/for the army in WWI.

Doesn't make it true though.
