Video: Who's in the wrong? Poster suggests injustice at hands of the police

Featured Replies

One got his indicator on she should have been wary, two she should have not been so close to him that she couldn't take action. To many ride up the a** of the vehicle in front and if you leave enough space they'll barge into it so you have to drop further back.

Who's in the wrong ?.....obviously the one with no  "connections" ,   of course !!

  • clearly the guy making the turn should have been on the left side of the lane not all the way to the right , having his flasher on is something people half the time forgot to turn off ,looks more like

  • unfortunately the fact that she was unable to control the bike leaves her in a pickle, too many thais are incapable of riding driving and simply should not be on the road, many dont have licences and

I'll have to remember that next time I see someone indicating left that it's safe to undertake them because a driving instructor for cars, buses hgv1 and tracked vehicles says so...

First of all  a lot of motorcycles drive without switching their indicator off . Its a thai thing. If you look at this snapshot you can see all the bikes on the inside same as this guy was  then suddenly he pulled over to the right  , if i was behind him i would think he was turning right as the woman probably did then he suddenly turned left in front of her . She had not chance of avoiding him.
Can you honestly say he was in the correct position to turn left on a bike ?

He was not in the correct position I don't argue that at all, but he wasn't 100% to blame which is what you stated while cursing at other members. Just because most accidentally leave them on doesn't mean we can ignore them. She should have been more patient and cautious.

how long have you been in Thailand, nearly every thai driver/rider moves to the right before turning left, I see this every day and I am always ready for it, same with blinkers(if they have been left on, this one wasnt), he had his left blinker on so she should have at least slowed down and moved to the right if she had been watching in front of herself she would have seen that he had just turned it on. For a supposed driving instructor your reasoning is pretty poor, he was indicating to turn left, she attempted to undertake him while doing so, she never slowed down at all, as a thai she should be well aware of the move right to turn left( I am a farang and I am well aware of them doing it), first thing she should have done after the contact is applied her brakes but it looks like she still had acceleration which means she was not focused/concentrating what she was doing(another thai trait) or she was a very poor rider, while his turning effort was poor she was the one behind him when he indicated to go left and she didnt take any action so she is at fault for what happened

Ah

Retard and Retard,  meet up on the roads.

What could ever go wrong.

Hope they both get 3 points for that.

Both in the wrong.  she just come off worse.

But this  is normal  behaviour on Thai roads , so I see the confusion

on idiot book, over who's fault it was !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! idiots.

Does this brainless hool have no mirrors (as so many) or just not care to look?

Wasn't he aware that a whole group of motorist is close behind him and still no problem to block/cross the path?

Irresponsible silly maneuver.

The lady is not capable of controlling her bike after being bumped by another bike? Maybe hers being one of those shaky small wheeled full automatic scooters?

Wow, would love to see you bigmouths show your skills.

Can you make a youtube video please?

A good kick by a policeman is good enough to get you off the bike.

The term "undertaking" for a group of motorcycles just shows that you have no idea about traffic in Thailand.

A pity that the van was not behind the hool!

unfortunately the fact that she was unable to control the bike leaves her in a pickle, too many thais are incapable of riding driving and simply should not be on the road, many dont have licences and many have never had decent instructors and the tests to get the licence are p*ss poor.  The result are accidents that should never happen, the male rider did move over  in front of her but she  was undertaking and speed was what caused her to lose it & she is responsible for her own poor riding abilities, there is no way she should have had the head on, trying to underpass at speed by the look of it didnt help, she should have noticed him moving over but as usual she didnt try to slow down, too much of a hurry, typical thainess

DId we both see the same video?  It is obvious that the male driver cut into her and then she lost control.  From personal experience I can vouch that this can happen to anyone no matter how many years of riding experience you have.  As for the licensing, that goes both ways.  The male driver could have the same deficiencies.  A sharp cut like he did without looking is not good form.

The man is mostly at fault, in my opinion, seeing as he should have been on the left side of the lane, but the woman should have had enough distance to be able to stop.

I see no fault in the woman's driving. I would have probably done the same thing. The guy pulls to the right side obviously to turn right regardless of signal. When he turns left into woman, her bike veers to the right uncontrollably. Maybe a professional could have recovered but I doubt many others could have.

Is it so hard for TV to post direct links to these videos so that all TV members can see them?

It's really frustrating to click on an article with a "video" only to find a still image. Many of us here are not on facebook  by choice.

I don't have Facebook, but the video is available to me on my Firefox browser.

Honestly, I don't have a clue how these things work but, maybe, you need to install a different video player on your browser.

Perhaps ask forum support to advise.

The male was overtaking and immediately turning left, due care and attention is his offence. She was travelling along quite happily until the male hit her, then she lost control , possible offence due care as well, however had she NOT been hit she would have quite happily carried on, so in essence the man is at fault for being a bad rider. But as everyone here knows full well overtaking on the inside is a normal occurrence, he ( the male ) stopped in the middle of the road, while he may well have an indicator going, that means absolutely nothing here, so she did what she thought was fair, he forgot to look in his mirror ( normal ) and hit her. 50/50 .

He wasn't "overtaking and immediately turning left" at all - he was clearly metres ahead of any other bike traveling in the same direction throughout the entire video - he didn't overtake anybody. Also he did not "stop in the middle of the road", he was manoeuvring slowly but he did not stop.

Yes he should have checked his mirror, yes the fact he moved out to the right could be construed as confusing but at the end of the day she is undertaking, at speed, a vehicle that has slowed down with left turn indicators on. At the very least she should have undertaken with great caution and the fact she completely lost control of the bike and veered into oncoming traffic shows she didn't do that. Her fault.
