Monsoon Starting Yet?

Featured Replies

Hi all -

I'm trying to decide weather to go to Koh Samui / Koh Tao for some diving and dive courses for some friends. But I would like to know if the rains have started yet and destroyed the "visibility". If anyone knows, or knows where I could get that info, please speak up!

Thanks!

Rainy season starts in October. This is the "lom pattaya" season ie afternoon thundershowers blowing in from the southwest. Couldn't tell you if it destroys visibility or not but the wind does whip up something for about 2-3 hours most afternoons. You could try some of the local diving places, do a google search for koh tao diving and you may get some emails, Ban diving is one big one I can think of.
