CHIANG RAI, Thailand (Reuters) - Thai soldiers, volunteers and members of a navy "seal" unit including a team of divers worked through the night to try to find a group of young soccer players trapped inside a cave, as the search for the team entered a fourth day on Wednesday.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Senior Myanmar military officials, including the commanders of its defence services and army, should face trial for crimes against humanity over the treatment of Rohingya minorities, Amnesty International said in a report on Tuesday.

The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBCT) has sought cooperation from news journalists to cut short their news reporting and  video streaming  on Facebook Live  from the Tham Luang Khun Nam Nang Non cave in Mae Sai so as to  allow rescue teams to coordinate and communicate more efficiently in the search for the missing 13-member youth football team.

Police chief hails drug busts

National police chief General Chakthip Chaijinda on Wednesday announced that five successful drug busts had led to the arrest of nine suspects along with 700kg of marijuana, 2.8kg of cocaine, 306,000 methamphetamine pills, 2kg of crystal meth or "ice", four vehicles and 12 cell phones. The evidence was worth over Bt70 million, he said.
