Work related stress

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have been suffering from work related stress which has run me down, affected my sleep, caused me to be ill and impacting me negatively. Do doctors in Thailand recognize work related stress and would they sign you off work for it?

Anybody else here had this situation and have been signed off work by a Thai doctor?

A doctors pass won't fix it long term. If you hate your job then walking away is the only cure.

But if you want a doctors certificate then visit any small practice and it's a done deal

Hi, yes I am aware that I can get a cert from any small practice but I’m not sure how much weight it carries in any kind of Labour court dispute.

Get another job.

Yes that is on the cards I am afraid but in the interim I may need some time off. Unfortunately it’s not that easy as a falang out here to just pack up and move on. There is a bit of planning and prep work that needs to be done. It’s actually a pretty big job!!!!

Confused. Only a doctor can write a report.

In the mean time get some sleeping pills from the doctor, if you get some decent sleep, the other issues will get less.
