I suspect that either the Thai government or some other has the TV/film rights to this rescue. There is big money to be made for video of the boys with their rescuers in the cave. Videographers or simply cameras have been situated at points in the cave. Screens around the cave entrance and medical tent and worries about drones support this idea. Also quarenteening(sp) the boys in the hospital is to keep information and interviews from being distributed. Once all the boys are out, expect a big promotion from the selected film group.

Thai TV said media footage was being channeled through one authorised point of contact, which I took to inc confiscation and censorship where necessary.

@onlyalizt 1m1 minute ago  2 more choppers are on site. The one transporting the 5th boy is flying back to join the rest.

This is great news. Now there is 6 out, and they still do their hard work. At the same time oyu are contributing massively with all the updates. Thanks a lot Sheryl!

Let´s once again hope that all comes out in the same way.

Rhetorical statement.

He is not forgotten by me, but the most of the reporters do...:)

If just 5 left for tomorrow we can assume they will manage to rescue all 5. If not it may be an extra day.

This is pure happiness! I hope everybody really can feel how great it is to follow theese heroes doing a high risk mission without mishaps so far. Let´s all put our palms together and wish for a 100% successful mission.

When I say 100% successful, my thoughts wonder of to the Thai Navy Seal man that lost his life, but I guess he would be happy to know the mission worked this well anyway.

The plan was 4, 3, 3, 3.    I doubt they will change from that schedule unless the conditions inside the cave worsen.   But given the relatively clear weather today, it is likely the original plan holds.

Watching coverage on the BBC here in the UK.

One of their correspondents seemed to infer that maybe the Thai authorities are holding off reunions with parents so they can have a stage managed big press conference/reunion with all the boys present.

I have no idea if that is true but I wouldn't put it past them.

Sadly neither would I !

Of course that's the case. What country would keep distressed children from their parents.   Oh, I forgot.

Ignore it.

Standard crap from UK news people bumping their gums.

They should all go back to presenting on Blue Peter.

And I reckon they wouldn't know what a Blue Peter actually is.

They have shown quite a bit if understanding and compassion towards the parents thus far, making special arrangements for them throughout, briefing them of the impending rescue before telling the media, etc, etc

I think it is more likely wanting to avoid undue anguish/worry for those parents whose children were nto in the first groups out. They may think that knowing that some boys are safely out and that theirs might be among them, may be easier for them to handle.

There also seems to be concern to protect the boys from any source of infection in case their immune systems are compromised. That and other medical measures being taken may be excessive but better excessive caution than the opposite.

That's great news!! But I wish they would hurry because I can't hold my breath much longer.
