Peking duck

Featured Replies

Any recommendations either in the city, or around suthep or nimman?

Thanks

I wish I had a recommendation somewhere in those locations but for me the best Peking duck is found at the Fujian Restaurant at Dhara Dhevi

Fujian at the Dhara Dhevi is likely the best but you'll need a platinum card or two but that said Peking duck isn't a cheap dish but this one is certainly out of my budget.

Couple of other options one of which I have sampled.

Yangzi Jiang is on Nimm Soi 5 and although I haven't been there for probably a couple of years they certainly did have Peking Duck and marvellous and affordable it was to but double check they still have it.

The other I haven't tried but have been there numerous times for Dim Sum which is excellent and well priced. Pretty sure I saw the duck priced at 2,200baht but double check if you're interested. It's a new place that looks set up for tour groups but to date I haven't seen a single bus parked up and will continue to frequent until I do.

I stopped by there to take a look last week: it  certainly is a palace, architecturally: A kind of Chinese mother-ship--space-craft design reeking of uber-opulence.

Might try the dim sum buffet sometime if the ghosts of my taste-buds past take a holiday.

Certainly recommend the dim sum and if you prefer a few fellow diners around then suggest Sunday lunch time. Have been there lunch time during the week and the place had been about deserted.
