Contact lens specialist in Bangkok

Featured Replies

Many years ago, I wore contact lenses (hard, then soft type) - I was very short-sighted (-12 opter).

Then I had Lasik surgery in London about 10 years ago.  This corrected my vision, but the surgeon left one eye with about 95% correction, because (as he explained), my eye muscles would weaken as I got older and this would bring my eyesight in that eye back to 100%.

I've had no problems with my eyes since then, but do wear reading glasses for reading text and using my laptop.

Now I'm doing some online teaching and wearing glasses masks my face somewhat from my students.

So I want to obtain some soft contact lenses to wear during my online teaching sessions.

Can anyone recommend a competent contact lens specialist in Bangkok who can check my prescription and provide suitable lenses?  Thanks.

Washington Optical, Ground Floor, (at the rear), Amarin Plaza, south side of Plpenchit Road, just east of its intersection with Ratchadamri Road. English spoken.  Open Saturdays, but closed Mondays.

A big caveat here: Last time I was there, they were talking about closing that branch. If you find that to be the case, please tell me here. I can direct you to their other branch, and I have the owner's mobile phone number too.

I just did a google search, and for whatever that may be worth, the Amarin Plaza branch is indicated as still open.
