For those seeking MTB trail maps that can be opened in Google Earth or Google Maps (My Maps), here are the KMZ files.  Just double click and they will open in Google Earth.  If you want them in Google Maps, you'll have to import the KMZ file through Google "My Maps", and then they will open in Google Maps when you log in (Just pick "My Places" from the drop down menu in Google Maps, and go to My Maps to use them.  You can navigate with these tracks and waypoints on your mobile device using Google Maps.

Bike Tracks: all bike trails in Chiang Mai

Downhill Trails: Includes Crazy Dust, Gee's House, Old Road, and Wang Bua Bang, Bamboo Trail, ATV, Scouts Camp, Mae Na Sai, Buddha Footprint.

Hiking Trails: (Mostly on Suthep)

Suthep Waypoints: common to both hiking and biking trails (mostly trailheads).

Enjoy ?

EDIT: I found my labelled files for the downhill trails I mentioned.  I'll post them separately in a bit.

OK, so labels are not showing up (Grrrr).  Also trailheads are not marked but you can add them if you need to, or just right click in Google Maps on the end point and you can navigate to it.

You probably know which trails are which already but here's a key to help just in case:

Doi Suthep Ascent: Bold Gray track

Bamboo Trail: Blue track, branching off Gray track and terminating near airport.

ATV: Red track branching off Gray track

Wang Bua Ban: Green track terminating at Gray track (labelled and includes connecting trail waypoint to Gee's House.

Mae Na Sai: Green track to the west, running north and south

Buddha Footprint: Green track branching off to the east from Mae Na Sai track

Gee's House:  Blue track in upper right

Old Road: Purple track

Scouts Camp: Little blue track connecting with Gee's House.

Crazy Dust:  Red track connecting with Old Road and with Wang Bua Ban

Happy riding...be safe ?
