“The southern province has called upon all tour operators to implement maximum safety measures, and is in the process of installing more CCTV cameras to ensure the tourists' safety,” the report quotes V/Gov Prakob as saying.

Normal for here.

All paid for long before the tour boat deaths. Lets see how the advance bookings fare.

For a while they were not there, now they seem to be back on the tours again. For the moment I don't see any impact, unfortunately.

to increase tourist numbers after the slump in Chinese tourists in the wake

of a large loss of life, things turn around so quick in Teflon Thailand.

Don't worry about the bloody CCTV cameras worry about teaching these Thais simple safety procedures like checking all equipment before leaving port and making sure everybody is adequately licenced for the job they are doing, not like policeman I see yesterday driving on Soi Bukhaow left hand brake light not working obviously didn't do his prestart check, too much of a hurry to collect the brown envelopes
