I have several accounts with them. Originally I had a work permit. But they do seem to be sticklers for paperwork. After I retired I used my PR documents but it always seemed complicated. However, I like the e-savings account. But I don't know how long they will keep the interest at 1.5%. It's the best deal in town.

I like their android app too. It alerts me for every transaction, including ATM withdrawals. K-bank's app doesn't do that - it logs ATM withdrawals but doesn't alert you.

Another branch didn't mention a work visa. Said i needed contract from guesthouse, ID of owner. The lady tried to help but after much discussion got cold feet and said i need to be there a year. Bonkers really when its a savings account. I doubt I'll try again, the bank didn't come across very well

Girlfriend borrowed for us small amount . Tried today to pay off balance and not only would they not reduced the outstanding amount but want 20k extra. What a joke. Do not borrow from them. Re car loan you can pay early, but will only given a very small amount off. Read all terms and conditions which my GF did not.

They are my favorite bank because their ATM card can be used free at any Thai ATM. Opening an account was easy for me, I'm on an ED visa.

All banks including western banks charge you a penalty if you "villain" risk it to give them their money earlier back , I know very well when i sold my house in Home country , had to pay back an extra serious amount , but could not do else as the mortgage must be cleared before the sale could go thru.

I only know that there is no charge in province (maybe some banks only), not aware of any limited ones whiteout charge , possible there are , I only use my KK ones to avoid wrong handling as not all have same procedure , as Thai sign make me confusing to look on screen for Eng. menu .

Only if you use Kasikorn ATMs... AFAIK there are still fees (after a few free withdrawals?)  if you use ATMs from other banks, even in your province.

I think with a Kasikorn account you have 2 free ATM withdrawals a month at another bank in the same province. I want to double check this when I'm next in a branch
