As pointed out, he has not been acquitted, as I understand it he did not have time to prepare his defence and will probably face a retrial.

 

Judges, even magistrates have the power to sentence people for contempt of court without a trial, normally these are for incidents which happen inside the court room and may lead someone who is "disobedient to or discourteous toward a court of law and its officers" being sent down to the cells to cool off for a few hours.

 

Unfortunately this law fails to distinguish between the categories I.e.  Being rude and disrespectful in the court, failing to comply with a court order, and doing things that could prejudice a trial.

 

Maybe for more serious offences there should be a proper trial, hopefully after this the law will be looked at and revised.

 

As for TR he is a right wing thug who uses the cloak of journalism to put over his distorted political views.

The man would deserve respect for constructive outcomes. To my knowledge T has been convicted a number of times for law breaking in his personal life and achieved nothing for the betterment of UK society.

Tough to get a "constructive outcome" when the government in place in your own country as well as most media outlets are against you and for the invader.

For putting his neck out there and not being scared to say the truth amongst other things. How is he supposed to influence laws of anykind as soon as he says anything or try to do anything he is muzzled or put in jail. Why? Because the truth bothers. Not to mention you need to be a politician to pass laws and influence votes. He's just a citizen, isn't he? And even if he was or is in politics everyone against immigration is pointed at and called names such as bigot, racist, hitler etc. you gotta give the guy credit for swimming against the great tide of liberalism.

Precisely. the guy should be focusing on politicians, not harassing Law Courts or arranging demonstrations, that more often than not result in violence and general idiocy by his supporters. His prior political activities have all been failures, time for the guy to wake up and change direction.
