The commander of the anti human trafficking police has teased the Thai public with some tantalising information about the identities and activities of a Line group preying on underage boys for sex.

And he has stated that the tourist police are also involved in the investigations.

On Wednesday it was reported that a Thai university lecturer and "high society man" were among several arrests of users of the Line group that numbers more than 200. It was stated that it was run by a convenience store employee as a sideline.

Boys involved in selling sex are under 18 and might be under 15. The case thus automatically become one of human trafficking.

Pol Maj Gen Kornchai Khlaikhleung said that all will be revealed at a press conference next Tuesday.

The event will be eagerly anticipated with the possibility that the identities of those charged might be revealed.

Maj Gen Kornchai said that the idea that the people involved were "high society" was not true. They were just people with money.

He intimated that customers in the group were watching live video before making their choices of which young boy to have sex with.

He warned people not to join such groups as it can lead to jail.

He added that the operation - that includes the tourist police - has yet to result in the arrest of all the suspects.

Thaivisa notes that the involvement of the tourist police does not necessarily mean that tourists are involved in the Line group. The tourist police portfolio has expanded after changes in the responsibilities of several police divisions.

Wait...what?

Weren't we told in another case of LINE Live raping ( or $4!t similar to that), that there is no way of finding out who watched it and thus no arrests could be made?

Now suddenly, they can?

No Thai hi- so's involved and suddenly it works?

Or am I missing something?
