Are there any BKK foodie clubs?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just wondering if there are any foodie groups that eat together in BKK? I’ll be coming over next year and I’ve noticed that in BKK there are amazing restaurants; but....I don’t want to dine alone.

Any groups out there that I can join?

There is a "monthly" group who dine in dinner jackets etc.  could probably find them if you bring one.

Not that I am aware of, but it´s never to late to start a new one. That would be awesome!

You buy, I guide ?

Why don't you just make some friends and go to dinner with them?

Because foodie groups contain people who are passionate about food and who want to share that passion with like-minded individuals.

Ok.you buy I fly. I love food.ill share my photos with you over dinner.

If you're passionate about food, then you'd live in LA or NYC, not BKK.

The non-thai food in BKK sucks by comparison to LA.

Example: Where in BKK can you get biang biang mian noodles from china?

The answer: LA, San Gabriel Valley of course!

Ignorance must be Bliss, huh?

Anyone who thinks the food in Bkk is not good has absolutely no clue about they type of places that exist here at the high end.

Being a foodie, as a hobbyist, is also about developing a deeper understanding of the local culture through food. As much as we are interested in good food that tastes amazing, we are also really interested in the origin and history of the ingredients - and through developing that knowledge we try to connect with the culture more. It’s like doing anthropology - but with great tasting food.
